Mrs Mathers

This one I call Mrs. Mathers. Just a little character design when I was really in the mood to design a cuddly, cardigan-wearing old lady.

CurvesAfter watching Steven Universe (and, I must admit, becoming a little addicted) I had to design something similar to the Garnet character, some kind of confident, curvy crime-fighting diva. She’s wonderful, the series is wonderful, here’s some images from Steven Universe:

SugarJust a little character design. Watching a documentary last night I saw a little girl with the most interesting face shape! I had to draw it… and it sort of turned into this. I think I shall name her Sugar.

Just a little creature design for Brad to model, a kind of slimy slug creature, one that’s model should convey weight.

I just downloaded Paint Tool Sai, and was super excited to find out it features line smoothing! This is something I’ve dreamed of for a while now, since Photoshop seems so unforgiving in this area. I’ll be doing the majority of my lineart on Sai now, but I still believe Photoshop is best for colouring, and so I’ll stick to that for now. Here’s a little drawing I did playing around with Sai.
